This project presented an opportunity to create a renovation that integrates seamlessly with the existing home and landscape. Despite limited access and the challenge of preserving valuable features, the project achieved an award-winning design.
Our design aimed to improve shade and summer comfort on the southern exposure with two adjoining pergolas equipped with a misting system, chandeliers, and infrared heaters for cooler evenings, while transforming the outdoor areas into refined, adult-focused entertaining spaces that maximize stunning views of Okanagan Lake and the renovated pond.
The final design incorporated existing features, including the waterfall pond, surrounding flagstone, a bar pass-though from the residence's lower level, mature plantings, and repurposed appliances in the updated outdoor kitchen.
Carefully curated pieces paired with existing furnishings with new bar seating, a spacious sofa seating area, and swivel club chair seating to create a cohesive entertaining space. Gas torches, updated planters, and low-maintenance pollinator plantings completed the design.
